To be too incompetent for this administration is a hell of a feat.

2.9k

u/PhamilyTrickster 1d ago

To be too incompetent to read prepared statements and answer a couple questions is astonishing

2.1k

u/ignatious__reilly 1d ago

This is such an embarrassment all around.

Those morons never vetted her, nothing. And those idiots always talk about DEI hires.

Trump is a fucking disgrace.

772

u/thewalkindude368 1d ago

Well, you see, she's hot, blonde and white. That's about all the qualifications Trump needs to promote someone in his administration.

459

u/Gumbo_Ya-Ya 1d ago

Thing is

She's not hot, she's not blonde, she's got a Maralago face thats only going to get worse.

190

u/thewalkindude368 1d ago edited 1d ago

Being in Trump's inner circle automatically makes her ugly in my book, but she's hot from Trump's perspective.

15

u/Vesper-Martinis 1d ago

Exactly, trump would think she’s hot.

32

u/peteofaustralia 1d ago

Check the Trump Daughter Resemblance Lust Scale. 🧮

3

u/Gumbo_Ya-Ya 1d ago

He's not the best judge of anything, really....

5

u/UranusIsPissy 1d ago

IDK. He'd probably think she's too old.

5

u/Nom_de_guerre_25 1d ago

I mean she doesn't look bad.

3

u/Chuckitcharlie 1d ago

Maralogo face, I hope that term catches on .

u/CR_Eatmeat 1d ago

The hot-part is debateable. So is the blonde-part. And about the white… oh well, what the surgeon left maybe.

6

u/RogueAOV 1d ago

Surgery must have been involved somehow, she identified as a lawyer.

10

u/HumanLandscape3767 1d ago

She is what I call Republican Hot. She has all the makings of a good conservative house wife who loves Daddy Trump and shows it by making herself look awful in the exact same way that all the other conservative wives do. It’s a weird status symbol to make yourself Trump’s ideal woman which unfortunately for them is a horrible look to anyone outside of the cult. But I suppose they don’t care too much about that.

I have a feeling some of them are going to look back at themselves in pictures and videos and feel deeply embarrassed and ashamed.

Edit: I’ve also heard it called Mar a Lago Face which is better in my opinion.

Well, DEI does get in the way of Nepo-Hires and Croneyism. So I can see why MAGA would hate it.

46

u/No-Algae-7437 1d ago

Except DEI is intended to give qualified candidates a shot with the goal of having a QUALIFIED, yet diverse, inclusive, & equitable staff.

31

u/Crafty-Help-4633 1d ago

Yeah, that's why MAGA hates it. Nepo-Hires and Croneys pretty much precludes being actually qualified, whereas the DEI hires would be.

95

u/Impossible-Flight250 1d ago

3

u/Mars_Tour_Guide 1d ago

u/RedditAccountFox 1d ago

I can understand the pressure and anxiety over being the press secretary and doing it for the first time. However, she spoke like three very basic introductory sentences like it was the first time she’d seen them and she had a gun to her head.

22

u/Key-Detail3226 1d ago

It did come off like a hostage statement.

2

u/Interesting_Tower485 1d ago

She also spent an unusual amount of time (>0) on how long she had wanted to work for Trump and how he trusted her. It was like a high school speech (and not even a good one). In any normal, functioning administration, I don't think words like that would have been said, they would have been basic table stakes and the words would have been used for saying valuable, important, meaningful things, you know, like policy and the world around us.

170

u/SnakePlissken1980 1d ago

And the three questions she took were only from MAGA-friendly outlets, so it's not like she had to face down the opposition.

51

u/Merciless_Soup 1d ago

There's opposition? That would be fantastic.

6

u/Icy_Fish_2154 1d ago

They aren't allowed in the room.

4

u/flashgordo1 1d ago

And even the questions Peter Douchebag asked left him open mouthed at the answer she gave him. Funny, and pathetic.

2

u/Doggoneshame 1d ago

And those outlets gave her the questions and answers before the press conference.

That statement is …(checks notes) accurate

35

u/Party-Ring445 1d ago

She would have read that "check notes" out loud

6

u/Affectionate-Lab2239 1d ago

Trump recently read from a teleprompter that read, in part “Super Intelligence - SI”, with the dash there for a grammatical pause. He read it as “Super Intelligence dash SI”.

5

u/wentoutwandering 1d ago

Her husband — excuse me her President — said it wasn’t true.

4

u/Plumb789 1d ago

I don't think it's solely incompetence. IMO, incompetence is a given in this administration: dishonesty is also ubiquitous. To have both of them simultaneously, to such a high degree -and on such obvious display (almost instantly on arrival)-has simply proved too much.

3

u/dwarling 1d ago

I don’t think it was the fact that she was too incompetent for this administration, but too dishonest…which is obviously an even BIGGER feat.

3

u/RedMansions 1d ago

Softball questions, no less.

3

u/arrynyo 1d ago

The press secretary in this administration has the easiest job. Get on the mic, bullshit the press, and go home.

3

u/3N1Gma874 1d ago

Well if her only press conference was any indication her bosses knew she couldn’t sell their lies. If she held her driver’s license up and told me her name was Katie Zacaria I would question if she was who she says she was.

2

u/PhamilyTrickster 1d ago

I'm shocked she can say her own name without looking at her notes

3

u/uurundai 1d ago

If you apply that logic, Trump fails too. Guess she was as incompetent as the leader - unfortunately, we can’t fire him.

3

u/eepos96 1d ago

In which state did you get you BAR?

China!

And at that moment everyone knew she had made a terrible mistake

3

u/dvdborne 1d ago

The fact that HR didn’t check her skills is even more astonishing. Don’t blame her. Blame the ones who hired her.

2

u/dogfacedponyboy 1d ago

To be or not to be that is the question

2

u/Mythulhu 1d ago

Trump can't do that

2

u/Natural_Challenge820 1d ago

She failed the Cali bar. This is par.

2

u/Affectionate-Lab2239 1d ago

Asked by Hannity why her press conference went so poorly, she explained she was offered the job Wednesday last week, accepted Thursday, flew home Friday to California then back to DC on Sunday, started the job Monday (National holiday) and was asked to do the press conference Tuesday.

So basically, absolutely zero prep to be the WH Press Sec.

2

u/HeadAboveSand 1d ago

But she's easy on the eyes isn't that whats important here? /s

2

u/bojenny 1d ago

To be so arrogant that you think you can hack it as press secretary when you can’t read a prepared statement.

Ironically you don’t need to even do that in this job. The press secretary doesn’t need to be a bar certified lawyer so she gained nothing from keeping up that lie. You could be a plumber and get the Press Sec job. This was ego and vanity

11

u/Zomunieo 1d ago

Plumbers deal with a lot of shit, so they’re actually more qualified for the press gallery than most journalists.

2

u/jjrox75 1d ago

“Never admit it” — GOP mantra.

She broke the mantra. Had to go. She was too truthful.

44

u/SnakePlissken1980 1d ago

Yeah, you just call it "Fake News". Melissa Howard doubled down and posed in a picture with her mother and a fake degree and called it all Fake News but then the college was like... she never graduated from here.

How many Russian and Chinese spy’s you think they got in the administration…not counting the orange turd of course.

2

u/Zeeman626 1d ago

They aren't spies if they're hired for that reason specifically.

2

u/Intlsurf 1d ago

There’s a long line in his administration that haven’t even passed security clearance

2

u/Such_Can_4176 1d ago

Totally agree. She was NOT even close to a good fit, and the Orange Administration fucked up. KZ just got it because she had to get in front of cameras and people and she couldn't fake it.

5

u/Significant-Base6893 1d ago

She's too stupid to handle questions, lie convincingly, or think fast on her feet. Those are core competencies of a WH Press Secretary.

For example, if someone asks about your Bar Exam, you answer, "I earned my JD from Pepperdine, and have since decided not to practice as an attorney." And then go on to the next question.

3

u/Ultimatum_Game 1d ago

Correct, not the faking - the admitting it part. Instant failure to lie her way through it lol

2

u/Hurlyburly766 1d ago

If she’s willing to admit that, there’s no telling what else she might admit. That’s a dangerous person to put in front of cameras when you have a lot to hide

2

u/Uniblab_78 1d ago

Yep. Deflect, blame, or ignore.

2

u/Comfortable-Bonus421 1d ago

No, she got fired because she didn’t double down on the questions and say that everything was disinformation.

She didn’t follow the Trump/MAGA playbook.

Mainly because she was just too stupid.

Not to give Trump any credit, but the difference is showmanship. His charisma for lack of a more accurate description, helps tremendously with how people perceive what he says and allows them to interject what they think he said. If you can stomach it, listen to any other Republican. When they hit the talking points with any sort of enthusiasm, the crowds react. Her law degree wasn't from China, it is from Pepperdine. The issue isn't whether she has a law degree, she does, it's whether she passed the bar exam, which she hasn't. She definitely didn't do that in China because you can only take the Chinese equivalent of the bar if you're a Chinese national.

24

u/iaintkd 1d ago

Having seen her speak and also seen her taken apart on TV debates I have a hard time believing she passed a law degree never mind sat the bar

21

u/Bad_Repute 1d ago

Pepperdine is a legit law school for people that take it seriously but there's a running joke about law schools and once you're accepted, the school has every incentive to make sure you graduate and it's incredibly hard to fail as long as you show up. But getting pushed through to keep graduation stats up doesn't mean you'll be prepared or able to pass the bar if you didn't actually take the program seriously.

4

u/WhereLibertyisNot 1d ago edited 1d ago

It’s kind of like when your house is a total disaster and you find out you’ve got guests coming over in an hour and you just throw everything in a closet.

3

u/altafitter 1d ago

Its because her incompetence caused people to look into her qualifications, which resulted in people finding out that she's been lying about being a lawyer. She hasn't passed the bar in the states, but is still saying she's a lawyer publicly since she "practiced Chinese trade law".

3
