5/10 vs 4/8 right? I want no suprise when we inevitably get lazy and abbreviate to a unit of 'zach'. 4 syllables is just too much for science, hence 'mooch' being the official unit. Also, what is it with halves? Do you think we'll get a newer measurement unit before year-end? Maybe a half of a half of a half?

I’m thinking instead of miles per second dark would be measured in inches per zacharia?

I am afraid our colleague (here)[https://www.reddit.com/r/NoStupidQuestions/s/TPiyCqE5YR\] missed this subreddit, and I was hoping to bring new life to their question.

I really hope they did maul the german shepherds, or else that would be unpatriotic.

I have a first date tomorrow.. I’m shy.

So, my understanding of this topic is, that venomous snakes use their venom to kill their prey or even other animals they feel intimidated by. Deeper research made me find out, that producing venom comes at a rather high cost for the snakes, which is why they tend to be reluctant to bite most of the times.

This then leads to my question:

Wouldn't it be easier for snakes in certain parts of the world to just shoot their prey with guns than use their venom? Why didn't the ability to shoot prey evolve?

Thanks for your answers

As you all know, 100% of Germans have autism. Is there an evolutionary reason why this adaptation was key to survival in their native ecology?

It's easy: whenever I eat foods that are too salty, I cough. It doesn't matter if I drink or follow any advice I read online; it always happens.

To be precise, I wanted to test this strange thing and tried to debunk the only explanation I found online that states, "you cough because of your throat's sensitive membrane." So, I tried eating two grains of salt, and it made me cough after 3/4 seconds it touched my tongue. From my experience, I can say that the throat is not involved in this issue.

Also, I'm quite confident in saying that I'm not allergic to salt because I eat it every day, and it doesn't cause me any problems at all, only the cough when it's way too much for a bite.

Methanol is hydrogenated formaldehyde, so the name should be "formal", right?

I know an apartment complex where nothing but bad stuff used to happen 25/7 throughout the 80s, 90s and 2000s. Now it’s been renovated and it’s all classy. Where are the ghosts? Some girl falls under a horse in 1855 and the entire property is subsequently haunted in perpetuity but ten people get murked every decade in an apartment complex and there ain’t a ghost in sight.

Ive taken a flight today and had the thought of the earth being a submerged globe of sorts underneath a bigger body of water. I also wanted to quote the beginning of the Bible stating the waters above vs the waters below. Random Monday thought

Bears aren't the only animals that attack people. If I'm charged by a Bengal Tiger and all I have is bear spray... wrong species, I'm a gonner.

My anniversary is coming up and I need something special but I don't think I can afford enough silver

Thank you my esteemed colleagues. Don't worry, everything is fine and there's nothing to panic about, those sirens are just layering because of a test.

Edit: These responses are absolutely hilarious and I platonically love all of you, thank you very much. This is clearly the smartest corner of the internet and I'm honored to stand in the presence of such esteemed colleagues.

Would a tower really explode like that if it wasnt planned!?

I'm near some zombies now and I'm impersonating a police officer so I am naturally screaming at them to identify themselves but they keep saying "need brains" and "can't breathe" and "I know my rights". They won't show me a certificate of death, I feel threatened.

So before I double tap them I want to know they're already dead so my police dept doesn't get sued for wrongful shotgun to the face.

Send backup.
