Yeah he spoke about demoralization of a generation and Marxist, Leninist ideology. Idk why people are talking about republicans. Heās are talking about a political party that will hate American and try and destroy it from within.

u/GodisanAtheistOG 6h ago
It's so weird that Republicans have gone from "Russia is going to be a real problem" in 2012 to "We want to be just like Russia" in 2026.Ā
Absolutely bonkers.Ā
11
u/DontAbideMendacity 3h ago
Conservatives have been bonkers the entirety of human history. Nearly every single advancement has come from a liberal mind and despite conservative pushback. Does anyone doubt that Og, the first man to harness fire, was a liberal rather than a cowardly conservative?!

Jesus Christ this forreal. Iām tired of the āwhere did this behavior come fromā rhetoric. These ass hats have been foaming at the mouth with hate for decades and plenty of folks have previously sounded the alarm. Unfortunately too many people in the middle refused to accept that their brothers, aunts, neighbors, coworkers etc could be racist, bigoted parrots with two neurons for a brain.
2
u/IveHitARabbit 1h ago
I dont really think most of people that vote R are "foaming at the mouth". I do think that due to the stability of thier lives (whats left of the middle and upper middle class) they have fallen asleep at the wheel so to speak. Along comes talk radio, fox news, and facebook. Now you have some pretty ignorant people who are scared. Fear can cause people to do and say all sorts of things.
The brainwashing is real folks and its working like a charm.

1850s?
11
u/Beneficial-Ride-4475 7h ago
Republicans were the "liberals" and "radicals" back then. The right thing shift only really got moving in the 30s. In the 40s and 50s, Republicans began to see black voters in the North begin to start voting for the Democrats. The Republicans turned full on right wing loony bin in response to this in the 1950s and 60s, and implemented the Southern Strategy. A plan ment to draw in racist voters, and Dixiecrats and conservative white Southern Democrats. This plan was successful in the sense that it reshaped America politics. The shift was fully solidified in the 80s with Reagan.
3
u/Accurate-List 6h ago
The southern Democrats became republicans after the civil rights acts of the 1960ās.

u/Ill_Spray7121 7h ago
We have to remember, nobody is a monolith. Some of them do care. Even if they wonāt voice their regret, some of them are going to either vote against Republicans or just not vote at all this time. Which will help Democrats in the long run. I actually interact with people who have voted for him and will admit they made a mistake and that they were being ignorant. Where do these people draw a line in the sand and say here and no further with this corrupt, reckless POS?
17
u/oster587 7h ago
There were some of them saying they would vote for Putin over a Democrat prior to last election, they would probably say they were taken out of context or it was AI if you ever cornered them on it. They are devoid of shame and treat politics like its some game to win instead of making politicians do their job and work for the people - which is made even more hilarious by how many of them won't shut up about "we the people" at the most mild of inconveniences for them.

It only benefits Russia. The bill even had new sanctions against Iran. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The only person who benefits in this one is Putin. The games up. Russia have played their hand too hard and blown it

Lol nothing is blown. Trump supporters DO NOT CARE. People need to realize we have probably at a minimum 30% of the country living in a fabricated reality perpetuated by our media and social media apparatus that does make people believe this is a good decision and it is not to be questioned. There is no "game is up" there is no "gotcha" moment coming for this man or this administration. The country either needs to realize what is happening and address it with a spine, or continue to diminish into a pathetic shell of itself.

Congress just put sanctions on Russia, which trump signed. Today he announced the sanctions don't apply to Russia before they even could kick in. MAGA will still try calling the left "communists" hahahahaha
When this is all over, every 2024 Republican voter should have to take a mandatory cognitive assessment to even be allowed to participate in society again. I'm so tired the uneducated majority of the US voting to further reduce the quality of American Citizenship across the board by voting for the cancerous Republican Party. They should have been wiped from politics after Obama, but their entrenched corruption gave them one more chance to take over America and they put into office the most damaging guy they could find: DJT
Every American, no matter how they vote, needs to understand that there is an agenda to completely change this country into the ultimate dictatorship involving other nations across the world (you know who at this point). We as a whole are on the verge of massive change of what we consider "normal" in our lives. The things you see and hear in the media about other countries may be our reality soon.
3
u/Uni4m 4h ago
The worst thing is that US news as a whole is seemingly compromised and even without Republican shenanigans the external world as viewed from inside sounds like it is skewed let alone how the political interactions are going. The hardest task will be to re-establish communication in a way that allows enough people to even see the trouble brewing.
Openly burning allies and cozying up to Russia while Russia is having a bit of a badguy arc is certainly concerning behaviour by America. Especially as the country between them that could get double teamed.
2
u/GotSomeUpdogOnUrFace 3h ago
My genuine concern is really that the "both sides" argument that leads to so much controversy is something we don't want to talk about enough. We cannot pretend that people on both sides are taking money from people who aren't our allies or have our best interests in mind. We can't keep allowing the side that says "we aren't fascists" to take money from corporations either. We need people who will finally stand up and say, we do this job to improve the world not to get rich, cause until then, there is no reason for them to make things better for us, just to keep the status quo. They need to fear us and live like us, not be rich and safe.
Edit: also don't take this as I'm promoting not voting or whatever, but the steps we have to take in the future have to be towards change just not, "let's fix this now." No, every election from here needs to be questioning the leaders in charge, having true primaries and forcing out those who stand in the way of our improving society.
