And those numbers vastly overestimate the quality of his play today. Almost every incompletion wasn’t even within arms reach of receivers. 3 yards in the dirt short, airmailed over everyone’s head. Dieffenbach missed some throws but he didn’t do anything stupid. Oregon’s defensive line played great today as well. I think even with mid QB play we’re still okay.

You’re right, he was a steady presence and apart from rushing one 3rd down throw I had no qualms. Just not sure he can be a long term answer if we want to win out like we really should at this point. But crow is my favorite meal so we’ll see if it comes to that.

but man....the offense is just so,so,so bad. there is no impetus. even against osu there were missed assignments and an overall lack of push at times where'd you expect your four and five star linemen to actually get something going.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE BIG TEN CONFERENCE
Following today’s absolutely DISGUSTING display of football, Oregon and UCLA have been unanimously inducted as HONORARY LIFETIME MEMBERS OF THE BIG TEN WEST.
After years of flashy Pac-12 offenses and Oregon’s 47 uniform combinations, both programs have finally embraced the sacred traditions of punting, offensive incompetence, and making the forward pass look illegal. Kirk Ferentz reportedly shed a single tear and whispered, “They’re ready.”

Honestly i hope we tank more games. I want a god damn coming of christ in the staffing room. Why we promoted internally as OREGON when we could have went and more than likely secured a veteran OC and DC is insane to me. NW got Chip Kelly, and you're telling me the best we could do was promote within?!
Now I'll give flowers to the defense and Chris Hampton, things to clean up. But they looked alive and the DL played their hearts out all game.
But Merhinger is a flop. He can't scheme, he can't make adjustments. We left Raiola in way too long and Brock Thomas came in and looked better by a damn runway

The two point conversion in college is from the 3 yard line, so the 1 and half yardline is half the distance. It was the correct placement. The announcers didn't correcr themselves.

Someone in Oregon’s front office needs to sit Lanning down and tell him to put the 2 point and 4th down plays away and just win games. Oregon would’ve won the title in 2023 if he puts the ego away. Lost them this game too.
